Abstract

The article examines the potential for the wide use of pollinating bees in the oil flax cultivation system in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The study aimed to determine the effect of organized pollination by cultivated bee breeds on the yield of oil flax under the conditions of Akmola and East Kazakhstan regions. The experiments were conducted in 2023-2025 on seed-production plots using isolated and non-isolated accounting plots located 200 and 500 m from apiaries. Carniolan bees were used as pollinators. It was found that in northern Kazakhstan, the seed yield of oil flax on plots accessible to bees exceeded the control variants by 17.8-28.4%, while in the east, the increase was 18.4-23.5%. Additional pollination contributed to an increase in the number of bolls per plant, the number of seeds per boll, and the weight of 1000 seeds, while seed oil content remained stable at 48.0-50.2%. The obtained data confirm the feasibility of including organized bee pollination in technological maps for oil flax cultivation.
