In individuals with mixed dyslipidemia and primary hypercholesterolemia without reaction to exercise, diet, or different non-pharmacological treatments, all statins were suggested. They have shown positive outcomes in preventing cardiovascular events risk in such patients. To review the risk factors of dyslipidemia and the role of statins in treating such a disease in the recent literature. Articles were selected by the PubMed database, and these keys were utilized in the Mesh ((“Dyslipidemia” [Mesh]) AND (“Statins”[Mesh]) OR (“management” [Mesh])). Statins have been shown to lower major non-fatal atherothrombotic events and cardiovascular mortality in various groups’ primary and secondary preventive studies.
